Hi HN — ProbeOps Horizon is a Playwright-based geo testing browser. It lets you test how a site behaves from different regions using real Chromium sessions routed through regional egress nodes (instead of just header spoofing).

Use cases:

- geo redirects / pricing / localization

- CDN / edge routing differences (Cloudflare/Akamai/Fastly/CloudFront)

- consent banners, payment flows, bot checks

- per-region artifacts: HAR + TTFB/waterfall, screenshots/video, console/network logs

Current: local client (per tab/context region routing).

Feedback I’m looking for:

which regions matter most,

which geo-specific behaviors you need to validate,

local vs cloud mode preference.

Happy to answer technical questions.

Cool app, but I do geo tests only very rarely.

Payment in a pay-as-you-go model would be much better for me. I don't like paying every month for a service I use only once a year.

Fair point. If you only do geo checks occasionally, you can use our free tier — it lets you spin up a 60-min session token (you can refresh it), so for “once in a while” use you don’t need a monthly plan. We’re also considering a pay-as-you-go credits model for exactly this use case — would you prefer per session pricing or per minute?
